Discover the Magic of Ted Camp

Ted Camp creates magical event experiences for both children & adults. We host our own events, alongside pop-up experiences at children’s parties, festivals, adult healing events, psychedelic retreats and other spaces where our unique contribution is appreciated. Guests are invited to adopt a soft toy if they connect with one in particular, taking the magic back home.

Our events feature:

• Approx. 100 teddy bears & soft toys
• Pop-up space inviting guests to hang out with cosy rugs, blankets, cushions
• Outdoor option: Vintage canvas cotton tent, suitable for 5-10 adults or 10-15 children
• Cosy lighting using simple & safe USB fairy lights (no electricity requirements)

Included extras for guests:

• Adopt a soft toy to take home
• Sign a Certificate of Adoption
• Create a label with Ted Camp stickers

…Ted Camp also brings something special which doesn’t fit into a bullet point. It brings passion and lived experience. I created this space to make my inner child’s dreams come true. I’ve been through deep struggles, and love to create unique spaces which give us the chance to reconnect and experience joy in simple & meaningful ways.

Our offering is specially curated for each event. Most of the events we do are not-for-profit. This includes a soft toy for each guest to adopt and take home. Our fee is negotiable for events we want to support. 🙂

Events for Children

Ted Camp is a magical addition to a children’s party or other gathering or small festival. Children are invited to join our soft toys inside the tent, where they can play freely. Depending on the event, children’s time at Ted Camp can focus on fun and joy, or it can help children connect with their emotions in a guided way. Many children end up forming a strong bond with a particular soft toy they meet at Ted Camp, which has a deep personal meaning. Each child is invited to take a Ted home and we have Certificates of Adoption to sign.

Events for Adults

It’s surprising (or not) how popular a tent full of teddy bears can be with adults! Ted Camp is a unique memorable addition to small festivals or other events aimed at adults, including related to healing and the ‘inner child’. Guests are invited to hang out in Ted Camp, spending time reflecting or chatting with peers about childhood memories. Many adult guests find this a profound experience, with some forming a strong connection with a soft toy. Every guest is invited to take a Ted home, with a Certificate of Adoption.

A Healing Space

Ted Camp began as something fun. However I soon realised the impact it can have on people, both children and adults, in relation to childhood memories and very often, sadly, childhood trauma. Through my own lived experience of complex childhood trauma and subsequent scientific research (up to PhD level), I have a strong interest in non-medical ways to reconnect and heal our fragile inner child. Ted Camp is accidentally a perfect environment for this to happen in an organic way. It is beautiful to witness, and I am keen for Ted Camp to hold space for more people on their journeys.

Psychedelic Journeys

Given its cosy environment, Ted Camp is the perfect space for psychedelic journeys. Psychedelics can be fun, and they can also be important parts of trauma healing journeys. Our canvas tent filled with teddy bears and soft toys makes the ideal setting for psychedelic experiences taking us back to the inner child. There is space for fun and joy, and seriousness too, if it’s needed. Ted Camp is keen to host more adults on these journeys, and is looking to pair with psychedelic retreats which are legal in the Netherlands and elsewhere.
